Transferring your hosting is changing the domain name servers (DNS) where your domain name is housed. It is most often done when you switch your Web site to a new hosting company or Internet Service Provider.
Transferring your domain name registration is when you move your domain name from one registrar to another.
Some Internet Service Providers (ISP) or hosting companies may tell you that you have to transfer registrars in order to change the DNS information and utilize their services. This is not true – you can retain your current registrar while using our domain name servers.
